I am a master Falconers and for 20+ years my wife and I have used falconry training to prepare young golden eagles that have found themselves in wildlife rehabilitation centers, for return to life in the wild. We also have three nonreleasable golden eagles that have been filmed by countless production companies for programs aired on PBS (most recently The Sagebrush Sea), BBC, Nature, National Geographic, Nat Geo TV, The Smithsonian Channel, Animal Planet and Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Our work with golden eagles has taken us across the globe to destinations such as the UK, Czech Republic, and United Arab Emirates. In 2015 we were commissioned by Cornell Lab of Ornithology to go to the Philippines and train the rarest eagle in the world, the Philippine Eagle, to be filmed as part of a documentary drawing attention to its critically endangered status.
