Wayne Truax

Wayne Truax is a classic car enthusiast, veteran, and author of the children’s book Mouse, the Man and the MGB.

The story began in Wayne's barn in the mountains of Virginia during the summer of 2017. While restoring his MGB, a curious little mouse kept returning to watch him work. Wayne chased him away more than once, but the little visitor always came back. After seeing the mouse standing on the fender watching him work, Wayne could not shake the feeling that the little visitor wanted to help.

Three years later, that real-life encounter became Mouse, the Man and the MGB, a story now enjoyed by families around the world and officially stocked by Moss Motors.

Wayne regularly donates copies of his books to nonprofits, educators, and programs that support children in difficult circumstances. He hopes his stories inspire curiosity, kindness, and the joy of sharing what we love with others. His work is available in English and bilingual Spanish/English editions.
