Terry Nightingale

Terry is a Baptist pastor serving in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. Before entering pastoral ministry in Australia, he worked in Christian education in both the UK and Australia. Terry and his wife Sue emigrated from the UK in 2003 and now enjoy life surrounded by their growing family, including two married adult children and six grandchildren.

In recent years, Terry sensed God’s gentle prompting to begin writing more regularly. This led to "4 Minute Devotions", a weekly blog offering short, Bible based, Christ centred reflections designed for busy Christians seeking encouragement and perspective in everyday life.

Terry’s writing flows from his pastoral heart and lived experience. His first nonfiction book, "Looking Back to Move Forward", was written primarily for Christian leaders, but has resonated widely with anyone who has faced discouragement, disappointment, or seasons of uncertainty.

His second book, "Bite Size Devotions for the Busy Christian", grew directly out of his blog and continues its purpose—providing spiritual nourishment in small, accessible portions. A companion volume, "More Bite Size Devotions for the Busy Christian", was later published through Kindle Direct Publishing.

His most recent book, Sleeping in a Sinking Boat: Finding Peace in the Middle of a Storm, was published by Ark House Press in late 2025 and reflects Terry’s ongoing desire to help readers discover God’s peace and faithfulness amid life’s challenges.
