C.F. Lewis is a graduate from the school of hard knocks and a life-long fan of the written word. He also subscribes to the idea of good comedy being medicine for the soul. In order to write a book like THE BALLAD OF ELMO BOGG, a person can’t take one’s self too seriously. Mr. Lewis does not take himself very seriously. What he does believe in is laughter and the underdog. He believes one should keep laughing, keep fighting, and keep getting back up no matter how many times life knocks them down.
