I see pictures in my mind before I form words.

I feel the visual colors and emotion and action of the young characters.

Which may be a bit different than most children's book creators who write the story first.

It's only natural, I believe.

During 43+ years of operating a successful portrait photography studio, I worked with more than my share of children. From tiny newborns to blossoming high school seniors, I engaged with generations of kids in the studio and in schools for Picture Day.

My goal now is to delight these same children.

Sharing some of the stories that brought out the natural smiles and looks of wonder and curiosity.

As always I love experimenting with new formats and testing ideas I have not seen before.
