Alex Blakely

Alex Blakely is a fiction author focusing on detective/mystery based fiction. A university graduate in Economics and Philosophy, he spent the first twenty years of his career working in business operations before embarking on his writing career. His love of the mystery based genre comes from enjoying the works of authors like Agatha Christie, Arthur Conan Doyle, Robert Galbraith and Sue Grafton.

He loves old buildings from the Victorian age, castles, secret passages and things that go bump in the night and hopes to bring those elements to his work.

Cold Iron is the first in a series of books with our strong female protagonist, Cache Iron. A reckless female rancher that revels in hog-tying murderers. After feeling the frigid weather in Cold Iron, join Cache on the California coast in Hot Iron, followed by Iron Proof. The fourth book in the series, Charged Iron, was published in June 2024. Book 5 in the Series Candy Coated Iron is expected in 2025 along with Alex's first short story entitled Iron Riff.

Alex grew up in Ontario, Canada, and still lives there with his family. A two time marathoner and fourteen time half-marathoner, he enjoys being physically active.
