Beverly Yuen Thompson

Dr. Beverly Yuen Thompson is a Professor of Sociology at Siena College, Albany, New York, USA. Dr. Thompson teaches courses on deviance, subcultures, and gender. She has earned both a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Sociology from the New School for Social Research in New York City. Her first book, Covered in Ink: Tattoos, Women, and the Politics of the Body, explores the social world of heavily tattooed women collectors and artists (NYU Press: 2015). Her book Digital Nomads Living on the Margins: Remote-Working Laptop Entrepreneurs in the Gig Economy (2021), was published with Emerald Publishing Limited (UK).
