Zachary Scott Robbins

I’m Dr. Zachary Scott Robbins, a school district superintendent, educational leader, and author passionate about the power of education to change lives and strengthen communities.

I grew up in Hampton, Virginia, in a close-knit family deeply rooted in faith, service, and education. Those experiences shaped my belief that schools should create opportunity, belonging, and hope for every student.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked alongside teachers, families, and school leaders to improve student achievement, strengthen school culture, support multilingual learners, and help schools navigate complex challenges with empathy and accountability.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Howard University and my Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the Boston College Lynch School of Education.

Outside of education, I enjoy music, cooking, youth sports, and spending time with my family. I write to explore leadership, resilience, and the future of public education.
