Matthew Ochoa

Matthew Ochoa is the founder of Matthew Ochoa Ministries and the lead pastor of Deep Rooted Church in Visalia, California. Raised in a godly home, he made the decision to follow Jesus at a young age in the backseat of his parents' SUV. At twenty, while attending a young adult camp, he was baptized in the Holy Spirit — the same year he began dating Stephanie, who became his wife two years later. Together they've watched God move through both their marriage and their ministry.

After attending Nelson University, Matthew sensed God's call to start Deep Rooted Church, where he and Stephanie share the message of God's love, grace, and power. Each week, he reaches a growing audience through Sunday services and his personal ministry YouTube channel. He's made his teaching freely available to anyone who can't afford it, believing God's Word was never meant to be rationed — and preaches it without compromise, so others can walk in the abundant life Jesus purchased for them.

Matthew and Stephanie live in Tulare County, California, with their three children. When he's not writing, you'll find him on a pickleball court, a soccer field, or trying to talk Stephanie into a rematch.
