His career spans over 20 Broadway and West End productions as a musician, four founded businesses as an entrepreneur, and several years as Music Director of the Broadway phenomenon 'Hamilton', for which he won the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Music Direction. His work has been featured in The Hill, Fast Company, and Authority Magazine, with interviews across major news networks including ABC and CBS.

Self-compassion has been a core element of Julian's work since a stress-related heart attack and injury forced his retirement from performing in 2019. Captain Perfection & The Secret of Self-Compassion was developed on the premise of Julian's TEDx Talk, promoting a kinder approach to achievement.
