J. V. Lauren

J. V. Lauren, P.E. combines nearly thirty years of technical writing expertise as a Professional Engineer with over thirty years of Bible study and self-help exploration to author the new Christian book set, ANEW Spiritual Awakening.

Her life is a testament to God’s redeeming love. Her childhood and adult life were filled with neglect, loss, and abuse, including sexual abuse, which God has now healed. She overcame the pain of her parent’s divorce, years of infertility, job losses, her divorce, raising twin boys, and the deaths of her mother, grandparents, and even her firstborn child.

She began her self-help journey while growing up in New England. Her mother’s drinking brought her to the rooms of Al-Anon, Co-Dependents Anonymous, Celebrate Recovery, and open AA meetings. She learned she was not alone.

Working the Twelve Steps brought her to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. Since then, she continues to delve deeply into Twelve Step and scripture reading and application. She also completed an eight-year course with Bible Study Fellowship International.

She shares her experience, strength, and hope about how God transformed her brokenness into something beautiful. With God’s help, her life is now filled with love, smiles, and laughter.
