I live in Kilmarnock,Ayrshire. I've had plenty of jobs in my life including social work, labouring, and being an engineer in a local factory. My primary interest, however, has been writing. Books, as I see it, are a window on the world, and each book you read is an opportunity to expand your mind and your horizons.

After trying for many years I was finally published at the turn of the century, with three books published by Xlibris from 2001 to 2003.Then I had a break and went back to college where I gained qualifications and eventually ended up as a social care worker.

In 2012 I returned to writing and in 2013 I had a book accepted by Hale, an adventure story about the Wild West. Then I decided to self-publish my book 'Bizarre British Murderers.'

I live a quiet life - and besides my writing I enjoy, walking, cycling, socialising with the family and others, and attending performance events. A few years ago I won the Tron spring Poetry Slam, wnhich considering I was 60 at the time was no mean feat! Films and comedy are another two abiding interests, and reading the work of my peers.

Ayrshire,the county in which I live, is a green, lush part of the country. We get a lot of rain but we also have a green, beautiful countryside with rolling hills and a sweeping coastline that is part of my walking and cycling pleasure in the summer months.
