Chantal Jauvin

From untangling two languages in her native home, Canada, to learning their articulation in debate and crafting them into contracts, words have unified her life experiences. Former general counsel of a Fortune 500 company, she began writing real stories to evidence the living of people and anchor human courage within our memory. She infuses her storytelling with the imagination of a traveler who has sojourned to the edges of the map. She has lived in Japan, Mexico, Cambodia, Russia, the U.S., and Austria, with briefer interludes in Thailand and Vietnam. She has negotiated in Paris, Buenos Aires, and Sao Paulo often enough to almost call these cities home. She has addressed the Central Banks of Spain and South Africa, worked with companies from Ghana to Uzbekistan, and mentored attorneys from Dubai to Mumbai. In modern terms, her “tribe” shares common values rather than adjoining zip codes.

Her first book The Boy With a Bamboo Heart was published by Maverick House (2015) has been translated into French and soon will be also be available in Serbian.
