Kerry Brent Smith

Mr. Smith’s training in theology combined with his experience in government, universities, and the private and not-for-profit sectors gives him a unique perspective on the economy and other issues of our day.

He earned a BA (Guelph) and a MDiv (Atlantic School of Theology, Halifax), and has worked in corporate communications roles in more than ten provincial and federal departments and agencies.

He was a lecturer in the ethics of care, and worked in for-profit and not-for-profit organizations on contracts relating to organizational management, writing proposals and teaching life skills to youth and adults. He has been on various boards of directors.

He competed in figure skating in his youth, whitewater kayaking while in university, and as a masters swimmer thereafter. He is retired and lives in Ottawa, Canada.
