Margarete C Koenen

Margarete Koenen lives in the real world, although sometimes you would not know it. At various times - and maybe still today, she has been a teacher, a mom, a painter, a web designer and developer, a caretaker, a maker of things and now creator of a children’s book. Clearly, most of these jobs were not great career choices and some people would not even count them. But since her understanding of the real world is somewhat tenuous and since her head is often not where her feet are, she has always chosen to do what she enjoys most.

Jawbone And Other Creatures allowed her to channel her passion for colors and design, her inner child, her love of the fantastic and her need to process the real world, into images, and little stories that she hopes will make both parents and children smile.
