Dr. Dawne Washington PhD

Dr. Dawne Washington is an international psychologist and systems scholar whose work examines how institutional structures shape identity, belonging, and behavioral regulation. Trained in Organizations and Systems, her research focuses on conditional belonging, structural exposure, and the psychological consequences of unstable centrality across families, schools, and institutions.

With more than a decade of experience in child protective services and community-based systems practice, Dr. Washington bridges lived systems work with academic scholarship. Her interdisciplinary approach integrates policy analysis, institutional evaluation, cultural pedagogy, and applied psychology to illuminate how marginalized communities navigate visibility, performance, protection, and power.
