Roger Morante graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor's Degree in English/Creative Writing (1996) and from Pepperdine University with a Masters in Education (2005) teaching World History and Economics. He studied European History at the University of Paris IV in Paris, France and Italian Art History at the Scuola di Leonardo Da Vinci in Florence, Italy prior to becoming an english and history teacher in Los Angeles, California. Other degrees held by Morante include AA degrees in Journalism/Photography and Art History from Santa Monica College. He is a polymath who has taught various subjects including Government and Politics, Economics, US History, World History, Geography, and English Literature classes at the middle and high school levels under his California clear credential. In addition to his professional clear double credential to teach middle school and high school in the humanities, Roger Morante has also passed California Subject Examination Tests (CSETs) to teach both General Science and Astronomy classes at both the middle and high school level. He has taught AP courses in both the Social Sciences and English and has been active as a teacher for more than two decades in the field of eduction. Morante is a polyglot who has travelled the world extensively and is fluent in the languages of English, Spanish, French, and Italian. He is currently an author and APSI guest speaker who has spoken at multiple AP teacher training seminars throughout Northern and Southern California about the benefits of both hybridized and online education. Prior to his teaching career, he was formally a sports and news journalist as well as an editor for the Santa Monica Mirror Newspaper in Santa Monica, California.
