Michael Kourt

Born in London, Michael Kourt has always been interested in writing for children. He has written musicals for primary schools including The Golden Bell and an adaptation of Rapunzel.

Michael is now devoting his time to writing picture books for young children and stories for juniors. Oopsie Doopsie and the Big Red Fish is Michael's latest book in the Oopsie Doopsie series of adventures following on from the success of Oopsie Doopsie Goes Fishing, The Goose That Popped Off and The Goose Wish. His other books include Gregory and the Mighty Weed, The Stolen Luck Cloud and Come to the Fair.

Michael lives in Kent with his partner Kaye Anne who also writes and illustrates picture books for children. Her latest title is What Is A Secret Fairy Wish?
