Debbie Cromack

Hi! I’m Debbie Cromack. I write contemporary romance about imperfect people finding the kind of love worth risking their hearts for.

My stories are emotional, romantic, character-driven slow burns filled with longing, heartache, friendship, family, and delicious worth-the-wait steam. I’ve been called the Master of Slow Burn—a title I happily accept.

I write characters with flaws of the heart: good people carrying grief, fear, guilt, old wounds, and all the messy things that make falling in love complicated. My heroes are masculine, confident, and sexy, with big hearts, hidden vulnerabilities, and understated romantic sides. My heroines are strong, sometimes feisty, sometimes awkward, and always human.

I published my first romance book at 50, proving it’s never too late to begin a new chapter. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me rearranging home décor in my old farmhouse, caring for my goats and bunny, or curled up under a blanket watching a Hallmark movie.

At the heart of every story I write is something I believe deeply: love should mean something. It should change us. Challenge us. Heal parts of us. Scare us a little.

And oftentimes, love hurts before the happily ever after.
