Paul Bluestein

I am an obstetrician (done practicing), a blues guitar player (still practicing) and a dedicated Scrabble player (yes, ZAX is a word). I live with my wife and the two dogs that rescued me, near a beach where I can find quiet time to reflect on the past, wonder about the future and lose my sunglasses. I began writing poetry in college but was sidetracked by medical school, writing songs and playing on weekends. I returned to writing poetry when I found there were things I wanted to say that required more than two rhymed verses and a chorus. My work has appeared in The Linden Avenue Literary Review, Third Wednesday, Penumbra, Steam Ticket and Heron Tree among other publications. My first book of poetry, Time Passages, was published in 2020 by Silver Bow Publishing.
