RICHIE SHAFFER is a former Major League Baseball player that spent the countless hotel room nights, cross-country trips, and never-ending rain delays trying to entertain his teammates with outlandish stories. They eventually grew annoyed and told him just to write a book already, so he did just that. The Eight of Earth is his debut novel and he currently lives in Charlotte with his wife. When not writing, he spends his days live streaming videogames on Twitch and considers pizza an essential food group.
