Paco Quiles

Paco Quiles (1982, València, Spain). Graduated in Journalism and Higher Technician in Lighting, Capture and Image Processing. He has a long career in the media and the audiovisual sector, as well as in the corporate sphere, in which his work as a photojournalist in the European Parliament stands out. Currently, he works in the Valencian public radio and television, À Punt, in news department. Since he was a child, he has been attracted to visiting abandoned sites, when he entered the warehouses of a large steel factory that closed in his town, Puerto Sagunto, at the age of eight. Although his initiation in photography of forgotten places was in 2005, with the realization of a monograph on the town of Belchite for the final degree project. Since then, ruin and photography have always been an irresistible equation that he has linked to light painting and night photography, subject which he teaches as a teacher, a discipline with which he resurfaces abandonment of the dark with flashlights.
