Philippa Davies

Philippa Davies has a background in copywriting, communications and brand design. She wrote her first children’s story at home in London, while recovering from kidney cancer at the start of 2020. When the country went into lockdown, she decided to illustrate it too – with a little help from her (then) four-year-old daughter.

Philippa went on to publish Smidge and the Mountain MoOobles later that year, and she donates 10% of the proceeds from every sale to the NHS (via NHS Charities Together).

The Frog and the Paddling Pool is Philippa’s latest book, released in 2022. She donates 10% of the proceeds from all sales of this title to the Runnymede Trust – the UK’s leading think tank for racial equality.
