Born in Boulder, Colorado David went to college in Nebraska, Illinois and Iowa. He was drafted into the Army and did duty (reluctantly) in Vietnam and (thankfully) in Chicago. He lived and worked in NYC (Harlem) for the Social Security Administration for seven yeas and then for twenty-five years at the New York Times. He retired in 2006. He has been happily married for over 40 years; he and his wife have one daughter. He lives in Colorado. (Note: His first novel, "Venus, Cupid, Folly and Time," was published under the nom de plume Billy Bob Stone and is also available from Amazon. The "Author's Photo" on these Amazon pages is incognito as well, but it is not too far off the mark.)
