Susanna Lambert

I'm a reading and writing addict. My favourite author is George Eliot. I share her birthday and wish I could write like her.

I also love history, and currently write articles about local history for my home village magazine in Leicestershire. I love to write about my favourite places, Derbyshire, my birth county, and Cornwall, Norfolk and Italy. You'll find these places in my books.

I always love the characters I create, and like to include them in subsequent stories. If you've read 'Lamorna' you will find Lamorna and Michael in 'Moondance' and in every book I write. Other characters will also reappear in cameo roles. I just have to know they are still alive!

I am busily writing Romance at the moment, and have two novels completed which I want to get published, and a third in creation. I recently joined the Romantic Novelists Association, and I'm a member of a local writer's group of lovely supportive people.

When I'm not writing you'll find me busy in the garden, or out walking in the countryside. I'm a lover of the natural world, a member of The Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, The Campaign for the Protection of Rural England, and Butterfly Conservation. I've been a member of the National Trust for many years, and recently joined English Heritage. But I also care about people and the planet, and have been a member of Amnesty International for many years. I donate proceeds from my books to charity, RNLI and Rape Crisis.
