Dr. Tasha Thompson-Gray

Dr. Tasha Thompson-Gray is an author and educator. Her debut book, The ABCs of Covid-19, was created to help parents and teachers have age-appropriate conversations about the global pandemic. Dr. Thompson-Gray turned her interest in African-American inventors into her second book, My People are Innovative: A Story About African-American Inventors. This culturally relevant book highlights the creative and innovative skills of African-American inventors. She created the companion book, My People are Innovative: Coloring and Activity Book, to give children an opportunity to have fun while coloring and completing activities to learn more about African-American inventors. Dr. Thompson-Gray designed Co-parenting in P.E.A.C.E.: A Journal to Discover Your Pathway to Parental Success to guide co-parents through thoughtful reflection to help improve their partnerships. She has also created planners to help busy people organize their weeks. When Dr. Thompson-Gray is not working with children, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. As a child, she loved to read and write for fun. Now she has rekindled her creative skills to publish quality books about relevant topics. Her goal is to encourage children to become passionate readers.
