ME AND MY TOURETTE’S📖

I’ve had the privilege of teaching a brilliant child who was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome and I threw myself into researching and learning all about it.

I searched the internet thoroughly to try and find some resources to share with the wider school about Tourette Syndrome.

I found very little and what I did find, was quite negative and incorrect on the syndrome and I felt it did not portray TS in a true manner.

So I took it upon myself to write a children’s picture book with the help of the very talented @gemmadenhamauthorillustrator @rebeccaslorach and @tourettesaction, in order to help educate children (and adults) understand and spread awareness of TS.

I’ve tried to create a wonderful, child-friendly narrative that explains Tourette’s from a child’s point of view

Ideally, I’m aiming to get a copy in every school/educational setting!

I love the thought of children reading a book and finally being able to recognise some familiarities in a character who’s just like them!
