Zuzi Fort

I studied at the University of Western Sydney – Nepean (Theatre) and at the University of Technology – Sydney (Communication – directing and scriptwriting). Since graduation I've worked as an actor, director, scriptwriter, playwright, drama coach, as well as a stunt performer. In the past, I also worked as a reporter & a host for various live events as well as FACES IN A CROWD & STREET NOISE for SPN Television, Presenter for the Speakers’ Club YouTube Channel and a radio host for Mind For Life. Career highlights include performing Moliere at the Belvoir, acting with David Ritchie in Place with the Pigs, playing Tiger Lily at Capitol Theatre, performing stunts on the Superman movie and working for the Universal Studios. However, Zuzi’s greatest achievements are her daughters, Kira and Kisha.

Though, I am still actively involved in the entertainment industry, for over 15 years now I've worked as a teacher/mentor. I teach speech and drama all over Australia, preparing students for ASCA and TRINITY exams as well as various Eisteddfods and debating competitions.

Furthermore, I also write and direct professional and student productions and I've worked for many performing arts schools such as the Australian Institute of Performing Arts, The Q Theatre, PAC, The Powerhouse Youth Theatre, Speakers’ Club and as well as Gateways' gifted and talented program and the Smith Family and others. Finally, I've been involved with community theatre and have been working closely with refugees and kids at risk to help them express their experience and discover their voice through self-devised theatre, various workshops and public speaking.

I am also an author and have written primarily for the theatre. My plays have been produced professionally in prestigious Sydney theatres. Since having my daughters I've been focusing on writing for children, trying to instil the love of performing and reading in them.
