Emily Fitzgerald

Emily Fitzgerald lives in San Antonio, TX with her husband and two dog daughters. She was born and raised in Ardmore, Oklahoma but is assured by Lyle Lovett that Texas wants her anyway. She originally moved to San Antonio to attend Trinity University and after graduating spent a few years in south Austin, where she became a devotee of BookPeople, Amy’s Ice Cream, and the now shuttered Shady Grove’s green chili cheese fries, her definition of manna. Her other degrees are a MA from UW-Madison and a JD from St. Mary’s Law School, back in SA. And they’ve basically been here ever since. Her favorite jobs have all been teaching, high school and university, and credits her students as among the best teachers she’s ever had. Currently she spends most of her time writing plays and other musings and would really like to get back to directing, should COVID ever be defeated.
