I am a lifelong writer and storyteller whose journey began in journals and has grown into a rich tapestry of poetry, essays, short life stories, and fictional fairy tales. Deeply fascinated by memory, myth, and metaphor, I explore themes of personal growth, spiritual development, grief, loss, transformation, and belonging.
Growing up as a military brat profoundly shaped my sense of transition, home, and identity. My nomadic childhood inspired my writing in autobiographical short stories pieces that stand alone yet together create a narrative of resilience, meaning, and family legacy. I have been writing and journaling for many years, capturing flashes of memory, reimagining them, and connecting the dots through reflection and myth.
My published work includes collections of poetry, chapbooks, personal essays, and a novel in short stories. I have also written children’s books inspired by generational stories, inner child memories, and family history. One of my books, The Storyteller: True Tales of Enchantment, invites readers into a mythic, gypsy inspired world, blending elder tales, wonder, and life wisdom.
Beyond writing, I facilitate journaling workshops, legacy writing projects, and conversation groups, helping others access their own voices and stories. I lead reminiscence groups for older adults, support storytelling in hospice and end of life settings, and guide people through legacy letter writing with compassion, curiosity, and presence.
I draw on my interests in psychology, spirituality, archetypes, fairy tales, and myth to make meaning of life’s transitions. My work honors the messy, soulful beauty of being human the heartbreaks, the joy, the longing and invites readers to reflect, heal, and connect.
As a Toastmaster, teacher, and lifelong learner, I believe in the power of storytelling to bridge generations, cultivate belonging, and transform grief into love. My writing and my workshops create a sacred space where memory and imagination meet, where voice is honored, and where we can all feel a little more home.
