Bert Botta
My BIO
I flew as a captain for Netjets for 9 years after retiring from a 26-year career with TWA. I'm also a personal coach and consultant in the aviation field. I'm passionate about telling stories about my travels but more important how those stories bring us together.
I love to share my life and passion for travel with other “road warriors” like pilots, flight crews and all kinds of frequent flyers; people who feel like travel is vital to their lives.
I was a also licensed professional counselor and had a private practice in St. Louis, Missouri where I was based with TWA.
I believe that our Emotional Intelligence is sadly overlooked in those of us who are on a personal growth journey and one of my recent books, "Just Don't Be Yourself" addresses this issue.
In this book I also write about soul in aviation and its impact on our personal and professional lives.
My book, Fast Lane to Faith: A Jet Jockey’s Search for Significance is available on www.Amazon.com in print or Ebook format.

My dear readers, I don't have to tell you that we're in a fight for our emotional and spiritual lives. I struggle off and on, wondering what I can do to help heal the world we live in these days.
I end up determining the best thing I can do during these times is use the gift of writing that God has given me.
That often seems puny and too little and like I'm not doing enough when there are people putting their lives on the line to help re-establish some kind of sanity into our world.
But I try to make my writing entertaining, informative, and inspiring while motivating my readers to remain hopeful.
I'm a community builder and networker; I've been a certified leader of a powerful men's emotional literacy training; I've built and helped to build men’s communities in St. Louis, MO, Taos, NM, Santa Fe, NM, San Francisco and now in my hometown in Sonoma County, CA.
Personally my hope comes from my belief in Jesus Christ and whenever I have the chance to talk to others about that, I take it. In the meantime, I try to meet my readers where they’re at and pray for them and try to be an example for them in the love that God has blessed me with and through the love I have for my beautiful wife.
If I have a mission, it’s to help bring us together as a community, as a family, during these unprecedented, challenging times. I have been doing this by interviewing people who I consider Everyday Heroes and publishing their stories in podcasts. For example you can see them here: www.buzzsprout.com/955717
I’ve taken that a step further now that I’m combining the podcasts with Ebooks that I’m publishing here on Amazon.
I’ve been an airline and corporate pilot for 35 years and have accumulated experiences and stories during that time that I’m publishing, hoping that these stories contain enough examples and proof that there is hope for a better life, especially in these challenging times.
My first print book, Fast Lane to Faith: A Jet Jockey’s Search for Significance is the story of my own spiritual journey where I faced and overcame the challenges that life and aviation threw at me.
The last chapter is still being written…
Please reach out to me if there is something I can help you with because without each other, we’re fighting a lonely, losing battle…
Many blessings to you,
Bert
