Hi, I'm Chris, a self-published illustrator and author of picture books. Originally from Manchester, I now live in the Lake District, a wonderful place to raise a family amongst the English Fells. As I entered into Adulthood, I struggled to find time for my childhood love of drawing but when I became a dad, I saw my son's fascination with dinosaurs, space, volcanoes, and zombies; This inspired me to create Indi the Rockoraptor. Armed with a tablet and pencil, I worked on it during lunch breaks in my work van for over two years until it was finally ready to share with my son. That moment was the ultimate reward (I hope that one day he will read these books to his children). Drawing truly puts me at peace. I intentionally include some challenging vocabulary, as I believe this age is perfect for expanding language skills. Thank you to everyone who has bought my books—I hope your little ones enjoy them as much as my son does.
