Victoria Murphy

Journalist Victoria Murphy has been reporting on the British royal family since 2010. She has interviewed Prince Harry and travelled the world covering several royal tours. In March 2020, Victoria was one of only three journalists present to witness Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex carry out her final private solo engagement in Buckingham Palace before she and Prince Harry stepped back from royal life.

Victoria is a Contributing Editor for Town & Country and writes regularly for Majesty Magazine. She also appears on Good Morning America as a royal contributor and commentates for networks in the UK and around the world.

Victoria first started reporting on the royals in 2010 when she became the Daily Mirror’s Royal Reporter, a role she held until May 2018. During this time she covered Prince William’s wedding to Kate Middleton, The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the births of all three of the Cambridge children, The Queen becoming the longest-reigning British monarch, Prince Philip’s retirement and the wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle. She has travelled with the royals to destinations including Canada, India, Bhutan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia the Solomon Islands, South Africa, Lesotho, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Norway and the US.

Victoria lives in east London with her partner Gary and their two daughters.
