Bernadette Pankey

Bernadette Pankey is a pediatric speech-language pathologist. She lives in St. Louis, MO with her two teenage sons. She has written children's songs and books for her students but Heart Match is her first published children's book. Her family was created through international adoption and they have experienced the challenges of being a family that doesn't match on the outside. She hopes that her story will help others understand that having the same color of skin is not what makes a family; it's the love they share on the inside.
