Devin Sherry

Originally from Levittown, Long Island of the state of New York, USA. He studied game development and game design at the University of Advancing Technology, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in game design in 2012. He contributed as a level designer/scripter on a student project made in Unreal Engine 3/UDK called The Afflicted; which would later be showcased at GDC Play during the Game Developers Conference in 2013.

In 2013, Devin worked to establish his social media presence by creating a Youtube Channel, TheLifeofJevins, where he uploads Unreal Engine 4 focused tutorials to help grow his own skills, as well as help others in the game development community do the same.The channel is still active today to ensure the most up-to-date content is shared with everyone. In 2015, he co-authored another Packt Publishing title, Unreal Engine Physics Essentials.

In 2016, Devin relocated to Novi Sad, Serbia to work for the studio Digital Arrow LTD on the latest entry of the Aquanox series called Aquanox: Deep Descent. During his time at Digital Arrow, Devin worked in Unreal Engine 4 as a general Blueprint scripter; prototyping game mechanics, creating UI elements in UMG, etc. Towards the end of tenure, Devin moved to a leadership position; managing C++ programmers and other technical team members, delegating bugs, leading team meetings amongst many other tasks.

Today, Devin has been working in Warsaw, Poland as a technical designer at the game studio People Can Fly on their newest IP built with Unreal Engine 4.
