Lori Coonen

Lori Coonen is a Family Legacy Coach, Heritage Design Professional™ and is passionate about achieving great things together. Working together with families for over 20 years, she serves individuals and families who desire to keep their family strong and in harmony. Lori helps to connect generations, enhance communication and leadership skills, provide opportunities to identify common values and purpose within the family and creates systematic intentional traditions for successful family wealth transitions.

To achieve desired outcomes determined by the family, Lori helps prepare the family and their heirs through intergenerational mentoring and coaching along with facilitating family meetings that create a culture of communication and trust and supports multi-generational family harmony. In the process she builds and facilitates collaborative teams that include the clients and their other professional advisors.

Lori is the co-author of the book, unPrepared: Heirs at Risk. She is also the co-founder of Finch & Coonen, a local collaboration to prepare the next generation. Lori speaks to groups about Legacy Planning, Heritage Design and Developing Leadership in the Family. She is a Certified Facilitator for Stratton's Interpersonal Leadership Styles Survey (ILS). Early in her career, Lori received and continues to hold her CFP™ from the College of Financial Planning, Denver, CO, and most recently completed the Facilitating Effective Communication & Dynamics Program. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports, reading, watching her favorite NFL team – the Green Bay Packers, driving and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles with her husband, Roland, and their daughter, Miranda. Lori is actively serving in her church and several other community and national organizations.
