Jacinta Read

I am a Eurasian writer-illustrator who was born and raised in Hong Kong. I now live in Oxford, UK, with my husband Tom, children, and Louie the Red Jack Russell.

My genre of choice is literary memoir (Nobody Memoirs, specifically), but I have promised my people that I will do my very best to not make a habit of writing them (if only life didn't keep serving up so much tempting material)! For now, I will be working mainly on children's literature, collaborating with others and on my own, and flirting with an idea for a graphic novel.

I have a PhD in creative writing and have had the pleasure of teaching at Goldsmiths, University of London; Oxfordshire Recovery College; and City University of Hong Kong. My areas of interest include creativity, mental health, religious faith, neurodiversity, the arts.
