Matthew Newnham's teenage dream was to become an astronaut. So he "took off for the sky" and became an Air Force officer, qualifying in the supersonic F-111. However, the discovery of cataracts in both eyes led to 25 years as a change management consultant in the UK banking industry. Then, following his desire to apply his communications skills more purposefully, he attempted several entrepreneurial ventures and finally ejected for good out of corporate life.
Since 2011, he has been a brand positioning and strategic communications specialist helping business owners around the world to identify, articulate and monetise their distinctive value so that they can grow their businesses more naturally.
Matthew's other great passion is middle distance running, which he has been doing since he was 15, clocking up some 47,000 miles and managing to win Scottish masters age group medals at 800m, 1500m and the mile.
