Emma Davies

Hi I'm Emma. Wife. Mum to two small humans. Lawyer by day and now author by night!

In 2019 I'd just returned to work following maternity leave, turned 40 in the April, when one day in June I woke up and found a lump. Two weeks later and my year changed beyond recognition when I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. Straight in with 16 rounds of chemotherapy, a lumpectomy and radiotherapy.

I'm currently in remission, have returned to work and have fulfilled my life long dream of writing a book. 'Take my hair (but not my humour)' is my chronological diary of seeing off breast cancer. Documenting the highs, the lows and everything in-between I did cancer on my terms, looked for the positives in the situation and had a fair few laughs along the way.
