Jean Keow

Jean has always believed that having fun is important in whatever we do. This has helped her to balance her family and a career that has spanned over 40 years. She connected with her father through his photography & music hobbies. Jean fondly recalls taking photographs of insects at the Singapore Botanic Gardens and developing pictures in their dark room at home. She also had long discussions with her father on electrical circuits used in his hi-fi system.

In Jean’s view, fun is especially important when it comes to learning new things, for both adults and children alike. Her granddaughters, Kate and Christy, inspire her. Kate is 8 years old and Christy is 5 years old. They love to play with toys and their activities include drawings, baking, cooking, dancing, storytelling, and just talking about Science. She hopes that her series of Katy’s SCIENCE ADVENTURES can energize parents or grandparents to connect across generations through learn & play.
