Joe Reed

Joe Reed is a Colorado native, born in the town of Salida, Colorado. A United States Marine Corps veteran, and father of two beautiful young adults, Joe dreamed of writing in his younger years—that is, before the momentum of work and life grabbed hold and took him down a different path, until now.

Through determination and a desire to give it a shot, Joe began work on his first novel early in 2019. Late nights after work bled into short weekends spent advancing the dream to apply a fictional representation to one of Colorado's oldest unsolved mysteries in his first novel, The Angel of Shavano. This first work was published in October of 2020, set in his hometown of Salida, and took a run at drama and crime. This genre is compelling and the experience will no doubt push him to return to the crime, mystery pages for a third work as ideas are rattling around in his head today.

In the meantime, he's working on a series of short, thought provoking thoughts that will compile into a second work released mid-someday. Oh, and raising/supporting two beautiful college-age, adult children.
