Kandi Hughes

Kandi Hughes has had the pleasure of being a bookkeeper at rural public school in a close-knit community in Northwest Missouri for over 20 years. She's a member of MSTA and was nominated by Missouri State ASBO for support staff member of the year in 2017.

After years of enjoying the sounds of school noises, the halls became quiet with the arrival of Coronavirus 19. Rather than submit to the sadness of the stillness, and the constant barrage of unfavorable news, she decided to write a story for the entertainment of her family, friends and co-workers.

After many favorable reviews and much persuasion, she has agreed to share the tale with a broader audience. Look for her other titles - The Flame Impersonator and The Flame Annihilator.

She has two wonderful stepsons and one adorable granddaughter. She and her husband live on a small farm with a few cats, and a Westie dog that knows she is awesome.
