Adam Duncan

Adam Duncan 1949-

Adam studied Drama and Education at Goldsmiths College and wrote radio and TV scripts for the BBC and other broadcasters. He has produced commercials in Africa and designed training for large organisations such as Amnesty International, but after the death of his mother in 2016, his life took on a new direction.

For many years he had given occasional talks on Buddhist philosophy and had studied texts about death and dying, but now had an urgency to go deeper. He did a foundation course with an organisation that trained ‘death doulas’ who give non-clinical support to those who are dying and their families. This led to writing a theatre piece called ‘Seven Ages and the Dance of Life and Death’. With a large ensemble of actors, musicians and dancers, the show was performed in the Brighton Fringe Festival.

In 2019 Adam started facilitating Ageing-into-Eldering day long workshops which were running successfully until they were closed by the Covid pandemic which is when he channelled his passion for personal development in the second half of life into ‘The Power of Ageing’.
