Stephen Wood

Born and brought up in the north east of England, Stephen was educated at Barnard Castle School on the Yorkshire/Durham border, and then at De Montford University, Leicester where he gained an Honours degree in Law. A career in the city of Norwich followed, during which Stephen became a senior partner of a local law firm.

Stephen is now retired from legal practice, and continues to live in Norwich with his wife Gillian.

He enjoys contemporary rock music, literature of almost any genre, golf, good beer and fell and coastal walking. The north east of England and the mountains of the Lake District hold a special attraction.

Stephen is the author of “In Search of a Northern Soul”, a travelogue set in the north east following the lines of his ancestry and the landscape of Durham, Tyneside and Northumberland.
