William Coker

Dr. William B. Coker, Sr. pastored churches in Louisiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Indiana. Before moving to his last pastorate in Terre Haute, IN, Bill served as professor of Greek and Bible at Asbury University, Wilmore, KY. He was also a professor at Asbury Theological Seminary and vice president of mission advancement for OMS International (One Mission Society). He has served as clergy on many Emmaus Walks. In every ministry, Bill has emphasized spiritual growth based on biblical truth. That is seen in his four published books: Words of Endearment; Pastoral Prayers; Scandal of Christmas; and Let the Church Be the Church. Bill and his wife, Ann, live in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he has a tech team to handle his podcast: Words of Endearment with Bill Coker. They have four grown children, ten grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Bill’s current hobby is playing solitaire on the computer, interrupted by letting the dog out.
