Madeleine Schlenz

Madeleine Schlenz came to know Christ as a young girl and has had a desire from that age to serve God in whatever capacity He desired. After graduating from Bible College she became a Registered Nurse in preparation to serve on the mission field. During that time she also met a young Marine and fell in love. Several years went by and in 2008, her husband Jeff began pastoring a church near Washington DC bringing her back to her beloved Northern Virginia. This. Was. Not. The. Plan. But, it’s better than the plan. She finds her days full of adventure that only comes with following the Lord, and the people she has been blessed to know and love have made the adventure worth every minute. She and her husband have been serving in ministry for over 20 years and have had the privilege of standing up Faith Rx’d, Turn Aside and faithfully loving the flock of The City Gates Church. They are fervently praying their way through raising children, and trying to find time to laugh in the midst of the craziness.
