In 2002, Dr. Robinson founded the Emerging HOPE Family Strengthening Program, a nonprofit initiative designed to support individuals, children, and families through education, advocacy, prevention services, and community-based programming. In alignment with its expanded mission, the organization was renamed Emerging HOPE Ministries in 2009 to reflect its focus on mental health awareness, family strengthening, spiritual development, and community empowerment. As Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Robinson provided visionary leadership in developing programs that addressed the social determinants of health and the emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of underserved communities. After more than two decades of service, Emerging HOPE Ministries formally concluded its operations in 2023.
Her commitment to equitable access to enrichment opportunities also led to the development of the Emerging HOPE Urban Summer Camp Program under the umbrella of Emerging HOPE Ministries. Through this initiative, Dr. Robinson designed and implemented comprehensive programming focused on social-emotional learning, STEM education, resilience-building, and leadership development for children from financially disadvantaged communities. In collaboration with residential camps and community-based partners, she helped establish pathways that expanded access to high-quality summer enrichment experiences. The program provided free, week-long residential summer camp scholarships for urban youth, offering many participants their first exposure to a structured overnight camp experience. Her leadership supported the successful operation of an annual summer camp scholarship program that served youth from 2008 until its conclusion in 2020.
In 2015, Dr. Robinson expanded her clinical and entrepreneurial work by launching Emerging HOPE Christian Counseling, LLC, a private practice providing individual, couples, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Through this business venture, she utilized evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approaches to support clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. The practice concluded operations in 2018.
