Izzy Wheeldon

Several years working in schools with young children inspired Izzy Wheeldon to begin writing and illustrating her own stories. Her illustrations are a mixture of different materials and techniques, including collage and lino print.

She has a background in silversmithing (BA Hons) and has Early Years Teaching Status (PGCE). She has been employed as a Further Education College Tutor and a Teaching Assistant in a number of Primary School settings.

Her first picture book, 'Clarence the Cockerel', was published in 2020 and began during a family trip to Crete and while surrounded by some very noisy cockerels! It is a story about kindness and accepting others.

'Eyes on Me!', a story about trust and finding courage, was published December 2022.
