Rex Fleming

Dr. Rex J. Fleming received his B.S. degree from Creighton University with a major in mathematics. He subsequently obtained a M.S. and Ph. D. from the University of Michigan in the field of Atmospheric Science. He has over 50 years’ experience in weather and climate research. He has authored over 25 scientific papers and three books; and has several U. S. Patents. He received the Department of Commerce Gold Meal Award (1980) for outstanding achievement in directing the United States role in the International Global Weather Experiment; was elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (1982) for contributions to atmospheric science; and was elected as a recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award (2019).
