Born in Scotland in 1972, Iain Macneil spent his formative years between Canada and the United States. He served in the US Marines for four years, after which he attained an Accounting Degree and spent seven years in the corporate world. During this time he began to write. He left the corporate world to pursue a writing career and moved to the Isle of Barra, Scotland. Amongst numerous land-based jobs he was a fisherman for five years. Iain also played the pipes in the musical, Brigadoon.

Jack Adams was born in Scotland and has lived in Nigeria, Iran, Canada, and the US. He served in the Marines and has worked in the corporate world and aboard a fishing boat. He played the bagpipes at a wedding in South America and in the musical Brigadoon in Michigan. Not knowing it at the time but reading Tolstoy’s War and Peace on a ship crossing the Atlantic led to a lifelong interest in the written word.
